The Good Report | Issue No. 4
On the Wait, the Walks, and the Work Behind the Scenes
This week’s issue of The Good Report is short and sweet! Just a little check-in from the in-between.
If you been following along, the plans are in!
And the prayers continue.
Two:ten has officially entered the “waiting game”—the quiet, in-between stretch while the City of Houston reviews our permit submission. And while I’m used to doing, planning, moving…it’s in this stillness that I’m remembering God does some of His best work.
Waiting doesn’t mean nothing is happening.
In fact, this summer has been filled with a lot of motion, not just professionally, but soulfully. Girl walks, coffee hangs, and even horse riding lessons have become sacred me time.
The small gatherings with women from the Faith in Her community have reminded me that what we’re building matters. That even before the full relaunch, the why behind it is already unfolding.
These women probably don’t know it yet, but they’ve been part of God’s confirmation in my life—anchoring me in this calling as I navigate branding decisions and community-building on the Heartbeat app.
And while it’s been busy, I’ve learned to pour back into myself without guilt.
Some days that looks like a driving range session. Other days it’s deep breaths during coaching calls or giving myself permission to rest without reason.
Lately, I’ve been sitting with Isaiah 40:31:
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…”
Waiting with God is not passive—it’s powerful. It restores. It readies us. The waiting may be out of my—or your—control. And instead of looking for ways to occupy ourselves, keep busy, or fill the void, maybe the invitation is this:
How can you intentionally wait with God?
Where in your life might God be inviting you to wait with Him, not just on Him?
I’d love to hear from you—what are you learning in your own waiting season?
Through it all, I see God’s hand. He’s in the wait. He’s in the work. He’s in the walks.
So if you find yourself in a waiting season too, I hope this reminds you:
God hasn’t forgotten you. He’s in it all.
Keep believing.
Keep becoming.
With grace & grit,
Tyra Tishay 🤎
