Welcome to The Good Report—a bi-weekly flow of reflection, behind-the-scenes updates, and Spirit-led storytelling from your friend, that’s me, who is building something good from the ground up. Whether it's stewarding a faith-led community, launching a legacy-driven cowork space, or navigating the emotional and spiritual layers of entrepreneurship…this is my unfiltered journey.
Here, we talk about the real stuff:
Vision
Resistance
Answered prayers
Community dynamics
Mental health
Creative pivots
AND most importantly, God’s undeniable hand in it all!
My hope? That you feel seen, stirred, and reminded that building what God has given you is divine work, and your partnership with Him is the secret sauce.
With that…
Hi Friend!
If you’ve been around me for any length of time, you know I’ve got my hands (and heart) full between stewarding Faith In Her, a faith-led community of visionary women, and building out GoodWorks (a soon-to-be cowork & community space), and following God’s lead even when I can’t see the full plan.
That’s why I’m starting The Good Report.
I can’t believe we’re already halfway through the year. May was a full one—and not just full of meetings and milestones, but full of the kind of tension that presses you deeper into purpose. You know, the kind of month that makes you question everything, but also reminds you exactly why you started.
Here’s where I’ve been and what I’ve been learning lately—honest, unfiltered, and (hopefully) encouraging for anyone walking a similar road.
🔨 The Process
So much movement on the cowork project—now officially named two:ten (more on that below).
We had several key meetings this month:
Occupancy issues on the 2nd floor led to some creative solutions from the architecture and design team. Instead of calling it an “assembly space,” we’re shifting things to avoid costly fire code requirements—and we found room to turn a setback into a branded design opportunity with a bold staircase and deck.
Discussed window placements and learned about the fire code limitations on certain walls (who knew that building could be so theological? Every limitation has a purpose).
We’re still pacing toward a Summer 2026 open date, which feels both far away and right around the corner.
Meanwhile, I’ve been navigating the legal side. I met with a trademark attorney about the name “GoodWorks” and received some not-so-great news: it’s likely not going to be approved.
Disappointing, honestly. I wrestled with what it would mean to release the name that anchored this dream. But God met me in the uncertainty (still more on that below).
👥 The People
This month reminded me: building takes a village.
The architect and design team have been the starting players within this phase of the cowork project. From pivoting, problem-solving, and stretching to keep this project within vision and budget.
I officially began mentorship with a community strategist to help guide the Faith in Her platform (launching sooner than later). Within a few calls, I felt reignited. This is where I’m supposed to be.
The good stuff:
Through one of my strategy assignments, I started doing interviews with women I see as ideal members of the Faith in Her community. One conversation in particular with a woman I met through TikTok was a full-circle moment. She told me she felt God-led to respond to my post and said, “One of the main reasons I’d join your community is because I see the care and effort you put in. It feels like you lead with love.” I left that lunch both undone and affirmed.
How does this relate to me you ask?
Anyone community building, leading in any shape or form, or running a business:
Cultivate an environment of self-reflection and brand introspection. Actively solicit feedback from your team, customers, and members to eliminate assumptions and avoid relying solely on your personal perspective regarding their desires and needs. This also gives you a chance to have real life conversations and cultivate connection, which may even realign you with your why!
Lean into others to reach your next milestone. You don't have to be an expert or go it alone, even if you're a team of one.
What she said:
“I’d join because I see how deeply you care—just through your posts alone.”
—God has a way of sending confirmation when you’re hanging on by a thread.
💭 The Emotional + Mental Toll
Has anyone else’s Spring been an absolute free-for-all?!
Let’s be real: May was exhausting.
I traveled three weekends in a row, which left me stretched thin. I continued to put faith into action, following my wellness routine, prayer life, and keeping the enemy out of the conversation. Even in burnout, I saw growth.
But with growth, the struggle was also real…
Crap economy or not, money has been heavy on my mind for some time now. As an entrepreneur, it often feels like there’s more going out than coming in. I applied to multiple jobs over the last few months, even considered going back to my old part-time serving gig. But every door I knocked on said “no.” And when I reached out to my former boss, I got this weird feeling in my stomach. The kind that makes you pause.
It wasn’t rejection. It was redirection. So…
🙏🏾 Faith & Resilience
I fasted. I needed clarity—not from fear, but from God.
A few days in, things started clicking:
God showed me I was holding back. That I hadn’t truly gone all-in on Faith in Her because I’d quietly stopped believing I could make a living from it. The “no’s” from those job applications weren’t failures—they were divine alignment. It’s time to cease my wandering and a lack of faith. It’s time to fully obey God.
Then, came clarity around the GoodWorks name and trademark conflict. After reflecting on Ephesians 2:10, the very scripture that’s always anchored this vision:
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…”
After prayer, fasting, and gaining external confirmation through conversations with my community, the name two:ten emerged.
It’s not just a name. It’s a declaration. A reclaiming of why I started.
“You’re prolonging your waiting season by not going all in.”
— What God whispered during my fast
If you're finding it difficult to fully trust God, know that you are closer to the promise than you realize. It's time to stop delaying the promises and dreams God has for you. Give a complete "yes"!
👀 Looking Ahead
🚧 Submitting construction permits for two:ten soon—a huge milestone in this build!
✍🏾 Planning for the Faith in Her half-day retreat (coming this fall)
🎙 Prepping to relaunch the Faith in Her Podcast (expect a name change)
More on that soon (and how YOU can be featured 👀)
Thanks for riding the first wave with me.
If you’re also in a season of “What now, God?”—I see you. Stay faithful. Stay grounded.
You’re not behind. You’re in process.
We’re all doing good works, one obedient yes at a time.
With grace & grit,
Tyra Tishay 🤎
Such a powerful and vulnerable update. Looking forward to more of these.
